There are so many funny t shirts out there on the market today. From the mildly amusing to the laugh out loud funny, from slightly offensive to so offensive some people would probably beat you up if they saw you wearing one! But why exactly do people wear funny t shirts?

Well there are many reasons really that people do, and it can depend on what kind of funny t shirt they are wearing. There are three main types, as well as a variety of sub types of funny t shirt. First is one or two liner quips, second is topical humor and third is offensive humor. There are then far too many sub categories within these to name!

What kinds of t shirts are included in each of these categories then, and why do people choose to wear them?

Well the first kind of t shirt, the one or two liner quips. These are t shirts that have text on, which is usually a one or two line statement or joke. These t shirts will sometimes also have a picture on that works alongside the joke, reinforces it, or is part of the joke itself.

But who wears these t shirts and why? Well to be honest anyone with a good sense of humor will wear these t shirts, as they are inoffensive, there's no reason to not wear one. They are worn mainly to get people's attention, which is a great way to make new friends.

The next type of t shirt is topical humor t shirts. These t shirts usually have jokes on them that relate to a recent story in the news, a joke out of a TV show or out of a film. It's hard to give an example for these, as they go out of fashion pretty quickly, so may be irrelevant and not funny at the time you are reading this!

People wear these because they are genuinely really funny. Usually the quotes will be mocking someone or something in the recent news, or it could be a funny, memorable quote from a film. These t shirts will spark conversation from other fans of the news story or film!

The final type of t shirt is the offensive t shirt. These are t shirts that have offensive slogans or catchphrases on, that if you saw someone walking down the street wearing one, that it would be likely they would get some abuse for wearing that t shirt.

These t shirts are worn with the sole purpose of offending people, and looking like a complete douche bag, pretty simple really.

So there you have it, a brief guide of what different kinds of funny t shirts there are, and why people would wear them.
