If you want to impress your loved ones and close friends with a sophisticated, yet basic to cook dish, try this chicken cordon bleu recipe. It's going to only take you about an hour, and each one will probably be delighted. The ingredients for this recipe are: boneless and skinless chicken breast, tough cheese, ham, two eggs, vegetable oil, white flower, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, onions, mushrooms, some sour cream. The 1st step is always to prepare the chicken breasts. Cut them in medium size pieces and pound the pieces effectively, till they turn into fairly thin. Add salt and pepper to every single piece of meat, and then place slices of cheese and ham on them. Roll every single piece of chicken breast with the ham and the cheese inside and secure them with toothpicks. Take the eggs and mix them properly, in a large bowl. Get two plates. On 1 plate you put the white flour, on the other plate you put the breadcrumbs. Every roll is covered with white flour 1st, next using the battered eggs and finally with the breadcrumbs. Now the rolls are ready to be fried. Take a big frying pan and add some vegetable oil. Do not use butter or olive oil: they burn at low temperatures and they are not suitable for deep-frying. The best vegetable oils for frying are sunflower oil and palm tree oil. Put the chicken cordon bleu rolls within the heated oil from the frying pan and leave them to cook for about 7 or eight minutes. When they are done, put them on paper towels to remove the excess oil.
An excellent side dish for this chicken cordon bleu recipe is mushroom sauce. When cooking dinner, you need to commence using the side dish, because the cordon bleu is tasty whilst it is genuinely hot. So, take the mushrooms (champignons are the best for that dish) and cut them in halves. Chop the onions extremely finely, pour some oil in a wok, add the onions and then the mushrooms. Keep the heat at a medium level for about 10 minutes. As soon as the mushrooms along with the onions turn into tender, add three or four tablespoons of sour cream. Leave the pan on the stove for another minute, than add salt, pepper and fresh parsley towards the composition. This mushroom sauce is best for the chicken cordon bleu.
